Matt Zilch

Matt Zilch was attracted to TPC as “a company that works together as a team to accomplish common goals.” He joined us in 2015 as an Estimator and was promoted our Estimating Manager in 2019.

Matt oversees a critical function at TPC. Accurate estimating is critical to both project and company success. Through his expertise TPC consistently bids and wins large, complex projects. Equally important, proper estimating enables us to fulfill these projects on budget. It’s a team effort, and Matt’s Estimating team works cohesively to understand each of the projects requirements and to build an accurate estimate on paper.

Education & Credentials:

• BS in Construction Management, California State University, Chico

• Loves most about the job: Bidding is a creative process and I love to see an opportunity that I bid go from a concept on paper to a completed and functioning project.
• Advice to newbies: “Know what you don’t know and ask lots of questions.”
• Biggest accomplishment: Winning the bid on both RC Willey projects. They are both large complex projects that required a complete team effort to prevail.
• Fun fact: Matt is a homebrewer and has a passion to hit a straight golf ball… Like us all
